About Dr. Seals
Dr. Ryan A. Seals firmly believes in the power of the body to heal itself and that it is the role of the physician to aid in the healing process. With a degree in nutritional sciences, he also incorporates dietary principles into his patient care philosophy.
Dr. Seals has a passion for treating patients by applying osteopathic principles and techniques. This includes addressing musculoskeletal problems (neck pain, back pain and extremity pain) and neurologic complaints, such as headaches. Treatment also extends to visceral problems, such as acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome. Treatment modalities include osteopathic manipulation, traditional pharmaceuticals, and injection therapies with prolotherapy, homeopathic injections and neural therapy.
He has worked at UNT Health Science Center’s Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine since 2012. Dr. Seals enjoys sharing his knowledge with patients, medical students and resident physicians. He is actively involved in instructing all levels of medical students and residents through lectures, hands-on labs and other didactic activities.
Dr. Seals has served on the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners in multiple areas involving COMLEX test grading and standardization. He serves on the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine that oversees physicians applying for board certification as OMM specialists. He has been a presenter and table teacher for presentations on osteopathic manipulative medicine (OMM) at state, national, and international levels.
