What is Osteopathic Medicine?

Osteopathic medicine places extra emphasis on the role of the structures of the body, including the musculoskeletal system, and how they influence health.  A basic principle of this approach is that the body has an inherent capacity to heal itself and it is the role of the physician to help identify and eliminate any impediments to health.

What is Osteopathic Manipulation?

Osteopathic manipulation is an application osteopathic principles to treat mechanical restrictions that may be preventing optimal function of the body.  This involves using gentle, hands-on techniques to normalize abnormal mechanical tensions in muscles, joints, ligaments, fascia, visceral organs, lymphatic fluids, and structures of the nervous system in order to treat a wide variety of clinical conditions.

Dr. Seals has done wonders treating the terrific pain of trigeminal neuralgia through manipulations of the head and the body. I am 82 years old and surgery was not an option. Ten years of pain has been relieved and the medications have been reduced to a minimum. Dr. Seals I can never thank you enough!

M.E., 82 Year Old FemaleTrigeminal Neuralgia Nerve Pain

Every since elementary school I have been on high doses of asthma medication. I never even questioned there was a different way to go about my life. Dr. Seals has been treating my lymphatics periodically for over two years. Since then I have stepped down my medication significantly from 250/50 dose of Advair twice a day to 44mcg of Flovent once a day and I am breathing better than I ever have.
